Somewhere off the south shores sits an unnamed, unmarked island. Stories tell of a pirate crew from Elsweyr, so desperate in their search for gold that they pledged their souls to the whispers of the island in exchange for a promise of fortune. Since then, a volcano has rendered the surrounding area an inhospitable wasteland, save for one small inlet housing the husked remnants of the crew and their ramshackle bazaar… forever eager to reap the rewards of whatever—or whoever—washes ashore.
At one time a secret slave trade depot and market, this small fort and port attracted some commoners to trade legal and illegal goods alike. It grew into a thriving black market bazaar before being gutted by adventurers breaking up the slave trade. Now it limps on, mostly on legitimate trade, but lacking in oversight from any consistent authority. People will do what they need to do to survive out on the edges of civilization.
The Black Tongues Village sits between a neutral zone on the coast in Gideon, Murkmire and the coast of Leyawiin. A port of trading and commerce the Black Tongues welcome outsiders but retain the caution most Black Marsh residents have of outsiders. They are one of the only tribes that actually worship. They zealously worship Sithis with a large shrine on their coast dedicated to him.
A small open air bazaar hosting a variety of passing merchants, operating within a rocky forest vale of northern Valenwood.
