The harbor of Wenyayasel is a thriving port of free trade between the many nations both along the Strid River and bordering the Abecean Sea. So long as a ship is willing to pay the small docking fee they’re free to have their ship repaired here or trade in any cargo they may have.
Prior to the Three Banners War, this dockyard was a lively port of merchants and mariners. But in the years since, much of the surrounding neighborhood has become abandoned as locals fled or were conscripted to fight. Recently a group of lowly orcish sailors calling themselves the Brinetusk Boys have laid claim to these rundown docks. “Port Brinetusk” welcomes all prospective business—on the pier or within their renovated basement brawl pit—so long as it’s outside the eye of the local milita.
Somewhere off the south shores sits an unnamed, unmarked island. Stories tell of a pirate crew from Elsweyr, so desperate in their search for gold that they pledged their souls to the whispers of the island in exchange for a promise of fortune. Since then, a volcano has rendered the surrounding area an inhospitable wasteland, save for one small inlet housing the husked remnants of the crew and their ramshackle bazaar… forever eager to reap the rewards of whatever—or whoever—washes ashore.
The Gilded Petal serves as a wine house/tavern for those that dock in the port of Camanelyen. There is ample seating near the hearth downstairs for those that seek a warm meal and a comfortable place to relax downstairs, while upstairs patrons can enjoy themselves with a game of dice, or find a place to sleep for a small fee.
A self-governing island port, that’s outside the jurisdiction of any monarch. Seafarers, vagabonds, indulgence-seekers and business-oriented folk alike are all welcome.
